John P Flanagan

Joint Managing Director

John Flanagan is a son of the Company’s founder, John Flanagan Senior, and joined JFD in 1978 with responsibility for starting and developing the Hire Depot business, which was successfully sold in 2004. In addition, John worked jointly with senior management to identify and pursue development opportunities as the business grew and expanded from residential into commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors. In his current role John works very closely with Dominic Doheny to deliver ongoing growth and a strong performance by the Company. John’s key memberships are industry related and include the Construction Industry Federation. He is also involved with the local GAA project on the expansion of O’Connor Park, Tullamore.

Dominic Doheny

Joint Managing Director

Dominic joined JFD in 1978 and was appointed to his current role in 1990. His primary responsibilities, together with John Flanagan, are to develop, plan and deliver future projects and to track trends and identify new development opportunities. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Surveying) Degree, Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Construction Economics, College of Technology Bolton Street. He is currently Chairman National Irish House Builders Association, CIF nominee board member Construction Industry Monitoring Agency, Board Member Offaly County Development Board, Executive Member Tullamore Chamber of Commerce and CIF representative on the Planning & Economic Development Committee Offaly County Council. He is former Midlands Chairman Construction Industry Federation (CIF) and former President Midlands Chamber of Commerce.

Susan Bergin

Chief Financial Officer

Susan joined JFD in her current role in December 2005 and her responsibilities are the financial stewardship of the Company, monitoring that major projects are delivered on budget, and maintaining financial flexibity to enable JFD to pursue its growth and development opportunities. She joined the Company in 1997 and worked initially for both the Tullamore Court Hotel and JFD, moving to JFD full time in 2004. Previous work experience includes a Dublin-based property and development company. A BComm graduate of UCD, she trained as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.

Michael Moriarty

Financial Controller

Michael joined JFD in his current role in September 2007. Previous to that he was Financial Controller of the Tullamore Court Hotel, which is 62.5% owned by JFD. In addition to his role as Financial Controller Michael’s key area of responsibility are financial modelling , project appraisal and information technology. A Chartered Accountant and BComm (Hons) graduate of UCD, Michael trained in the Corporate Services Department, which specialises in both Corporate Finance and Auditing, of Russell Brennan Keane.

Tadhg Sheedy

Contracts Manager

Tadhg joined JFD in his current role in November 2005. As Contracts Manager he is responsible for design development control and construction process control for all projects from concept to completion. Prior to joining the Company he worked with John Sisk & Sons and has extensive experience on a wide range of major projects throughout Ireland. Prior to Sisk’s he worked for John McCabe Builders in Dublin and with Mowlem Management in England. Overall, Tadhg has more than 20 years industry experience and holds a Construction Technology Diploma from Bolton Street.
